• Seafront and Promenade (Boulevard de la Mer): The most in-demand strip, directly facing the beach. Ideal for families and first-time visitors who want immediate access to the sand, the sea and the beach clubs. Mornings here start with the sound of the waves, and the sunsets over the Channel are reliably spectacular.
• Town Centre (Rue Saint-Jean and surrounding streets): The commercial and social heart of Le Touquet. Shops, restaurants, the covered market and the casino are all within walking distance. A practical base for visitors who want to browse, dine out and move around on foot without relying on a car.
• Forest Quarter (Quartier du Bois): The residential pine forest that frames the southern and eastern edges of the resort. Quieter, greener and cooler in summer. Hotels and villas here attract guests looking for calm and are often close to the thalassotherapy facilities and the golf courses.
• Canche Estuary Side: The western boundary of the town, where the river meets the sea. Less touristy, popular with walkers and bird-watchers. Accommodation options are fewer, but the scenery and the sense of space are genuine draws.
• Casino and Parc Area: Centred on the ornate casino building and its surrounding gardens. A refined, walkable pocket of the resort with easy access to both the beach and the town centre, suited to travellers who prioritise a central but quieter atmosphere.

• Arrive by car or shuttle from Étaples-Le Touquet station: Le Touquet has no direct main-line rail station. The closest TGV-served stop is Étaples-Le Touquet, about 5 km away, with taxis and occasional shuttles covering the final stretch. If you are coming from London or Brussels via Eurostar, change at Lille or take the direct Eurostar to Paris then connect.
• Book well ahead for summer and the May long weekends: The resort fills up fast from late June through August and during French public holiday weekends. Prices at most properties rise significantly in peak season, so locking in dates at least six to eight weeks in advance is sensible.
• Thalassotherapy guests should stay near the Novotel Thalassa zone: If a wellness cure is the main purpose of your visit, choosing accommodation close to the thalassotherapy centre on the forest edge will save you daily transfers and let you make the most of early-morning sessions.
• Bring layers even in July: Le Touquet sits on the Channel coast and the sea breeze can be sharp at any time of year. Evenings in summer are rarely hot. Packing a light windproof jacket is never wasted.
