• Paleokastritsa: For nature lovers and families. One of Corfu's most celebrated coastlines, with turquoise coves, a clifftop monastery, and boat trips into sea caves. Quieter in the evenings, so best suited to those who prioritize scenery over nightlife.
• Kommeno and Gouvia (Northeast Coast): For upscale relaxation. This strip northeast of Corfu Town hosts several resort-style properties with beachfront settings, calm water, and easy access to the capital by car or taxi.
• Glyfada and Pelekas (West Coast): For surfers and sunset chasers. Open sandy beaches with Atlantic-style waves on windier days, and hilltop villages like Pelekas that offer panoramic views across the island at dusk.

• Time your visit carefully: June and September offer warm sea temperatures, manageable crowds, and lower prices compared to July and August. Corfu receives significant rainfall from October onward, which makes the landscape lush but limits beach days.
• Book accommodation well ahead for summer: Peak season (mid-July to late August) sees the island at full capacity. Properties in Corfu Town and Paleokastritsa fill especially fast because supply is genuinely limited.
